Neda Hitsova, Business Development Lead at B EYE, was a keystone speaker during the first-ever local Power Platform Bootcamp, part of the globally organized Bootcamps initiative. It is a one-day event, driven by user groups and communities around the world, backed by Microsoft, for anyone who wants to learn more about Microsoft’s Power Platform. More than 60 attendees joined the hands-on sessions and labs, delivered by the experts and community leaders in their sector.
In front of the enthusiastic audience Ms. Hitsova, shared her insights on “How to manage and measure the success of data projects?” In her lecture, she spoke about the importance of spreading data literacy and data democratization across the organization. She stated that one of the crucial perquisites to complete a data project successfully is to have the right management culture that embraces data analytics and realizes that Data projects are not just another IT project.
“Furthermore, choosing a software tool that fits the company goals and long-term data strategy is vital. Don’t go just for the cheapest tools or the ones that come together with other software purchases because they will most probably not provide the value you are looking for. You should consider factors, such as visualization and self-service capabilities, can you access it on your mobile, etc. Do not be afraid to test it with a proof of concept project to ensure that the tool meets your needs. In the end, there are three main ingredients for a successful project – a successful customer, a successful consultant and a good platform”, concluded Ms. Hitsova.
